Grace has recently given up her crib for a big girl bed so Anna Mae and I have been busy redecorating the girls’ room. We really like it and will be ready for “the big reveal” later this week, but I want to share a sneak preview today.
One of the things the girls and I decided we needed was a “Grace Rose” sign to go above her bed. Anna Mae has one that we bought years ago at the Holy Hill Art Fair. I have tried a bunch of times to have the same artist do one for Grace with no success.
So I went to etsy.com and did a search for similar signs. I came up with three crafters who had signs that I really liked and I sent them each an email asking if they would be willing to work with me on a sign.
I heard back from Stephanie Brandt of Just Bunch Originals right away and was really impressed with how easy she was to work with. I sent her a photo of Anna’s sign and the bedding that we were using. She began a lengthy e-mail dialogue with the girls about what they would like as far as style and theme. Anna Mae had fun thinking about her suggestions and helping to make choices.
We order, received, and hung-up the sign all within the time the kids have been on spring break. I really liked her work and want to recommend her to anyone looking for a fun sign to jazz-up a child’s bedroom.
Take a look at her web store and if you order a sign please let us know – we would love to see it! www.justbunch.etsy.com
